Pocket-Music

The cd “Pocket-Music” is a collection of music of the late nestor of the Dutch classical guitar, Pieter van der Staak. (1930-2007) I tried to show a good overall view of his works. From beginning to study under Pieter van der Staak I have been fascinated by his many “faces”, which one can hear in his enormous output. His styles vary from virtuoso Spanish influence to a more contemporary idiom and from theatrical productions to very delicate Jewish moods, always showing a fine balance between humour and depth. This cd “pocket-Music” is therefore a tribute to van der Staak being a great composer, and above all, an inspirator for many guitarists!
